Safari in Mother Africa

Trip to Tanzania with Zanzibar included: Safari and Paradise Beaches

Discover the Tanzania, a destination that combines adventure, nature, and culture. Here, you can still come face to face with some of the largest animals on the planet. An experience of wildlife that remains engraved in our memory forever.

But the Tanzania it's not just animal life. It's also its landscapes, from the Mount Kilimanjaro that rises majestically over the vast savannas, up to the beaches of Zanzibar that enchant with white sand, crystal clear waters and coral reefs.

With the LEVA-ME and our experienced trip leader, you will explore the national parks of Tanzania, including the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, where millions of animals roam free. Each safari is accompanied by experienced guides, ensuring in-depth knowledge of the local fauna and unique photography opportunities.

We will then have 5 days in Zanzibar for many dives in clear waters.

We're sure this will be one of the trips of a lifetime. Discover this country in a way that only TAKE ME can provide!

DAY 1 | KILIMANJARO / ARUSHA

We've arrived in Africa, and the smell and heat are already different. The LEVA-ME tour leader will be there. We'll then transfer to the hotel in Arusha, where the whole group will meet. Along the way, you can also admire the small roadside villages, with their red soil and stalls displaying a variety of tropical fruits. With luck, if the sky is clear, you might even see the summit of the gigantic Kilimanjaro covered by its glaciers. After checking in at the hotel, the afternoon is free until dinnertime, when the whole group gathers for a brief tour presentation and to answer any questions you may have.

Accommodation: Hotel 4 ****

DAY 2 | ARUSHA – NGORONGORO CRATER

We wake up early, have breakfast, check out, and head through Tanzania to a new park, the Ngorongoro Crater. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located 180 km from Arusha. Ngorongoro means "gift of life," and it is believed to have formed 2.5 million years ago after a massive active volcano collapsed into the crater, leaving behind the large caldera that is now considered one of the seven natural wonders of Africa. This enormous crater, approximately 19 km in diameter and 8,292 square kilometers, is home to thousands of species. Approximately 25,000 large animals live here, including black rhinoceros, African buffalo, hippopotamus, zebra, gazelles, crocodiles, impala, leopard, lions, and more. After a visit to the crater interior and lunch with our hippo friends, we'll be back. We head to the hotel. Here you can enjoy the pool with stunning views of the entire park and relax until the sunset, which promises to be phenomenal. We have dinner and sleep.

Accommodation: Lodge 4 ****

DAY 3 | NGORONGORO CRATER – SERENGETI

The Serengeti could be called WOW! That's the word we used incessantly the first time we entered this Tanzanian park. Today we'll stroll through the endless plains of the Serengeti, the world's best-known wildlife sanctuary, unparalleled for its natural beauty and scientific value. With over two million wildebeest, half a million gazelles and zebras, 3,000 lions, many elephants, and other species, the Serengeti boasts the largest concentration of animals in Africa. Today's day will be spent observing the thousands of animals that roam here. Mother Nature and the rule of the fittest rule. With luck, you'll witness some hunting. Get ready for a day of thrills. After a stroll through the park, we'll stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we'll continue our adventure through the park and return to the hotel to enjoy the wonderful pool.

Accommodation: Lodge 4 ****

DAY 4 | SERENGETI

A full-day safari in the Serengeti with a picnic in the savannah. At the end of the day, we'll return to the hotel to relax by the pool and enjoy the phenomenal views of the Tanzanian plains.

Accommodation: Lodge 4 ****

DAY 5 | SERENGETI – KARATU

We wake up early, have breakfast, check out, and head to Karatu (near Lake Manyara), where we'll spend the night. Along the way, you might spot some animals and observe daily life in the small villages we'll pass. After arriving at the hotel, it's time to relax. We have dinner and sleep.

Accommodation: Lodge 4 ****

DAY 6 | KARATU – ARUSHA – ZANZIBAR

After checking out and departing for Arusha, we visit a Masai tribe along the way. Our Tanzania safari ends today, but there's still much to discover. We catch a flight to Zanzibar, a pearl of the African coast. Zanzibar is an exotic island with turquoise waters so deep they look photoshopped. The island boasts tropical architecture, with palm-leaf bungalows contrasting with the houses with Arabic details. Known as the spice island, Zanzibar has much to offer... including white-sand beaches ideal for relaxing. After the flight, we take a private transfer to our hotel. After checking in, you can put on your bikini, grab a coconut water, run through the palm trees, and jump into the waters of the Indian Ocean. We'll stay in this paradise for four nights.

Accommodation: Boutique Hotel

DAY 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 ZANZIBAR

Free days to enjoy the beach, relax at the hotel, explore independently, or do some extra activities. On the last day, after check-out, we'll take a private transfer to Zanzibar airport. Each traveler will then catch their flight to their final destination. Goodbye Tanzania, you were definitely one of the trips of a lifetime!

Accommodation: Boutique Hotel

Of course, in addition to our groups having couples, friends and family, most of our travelers sign up aloneIt's a trip to meet new people and make friends.

This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of age. We're sure that if you come with a relaxed mindset, you'll have an unforgettable week.

It's important to understand that this is an adventure trip and therefore there may be unexpected events. a journey divided into two distinct parts, no Safari we travel long distances by jeep on dirt roads and can be tiring. In Zanzibar you will have 4 days to rest Absolutely on the beach, but if you want, there are plenty of activities to do. It's not a trip that requires physical exertion.

Traveling in Tanzania is not like going to the Four Seasons in Paris... you're in Africa and things can happen like: encounters with animals you don't have at home, the internet being weak or not working, the air conditioning being broken, the shower water not having as much pressure and heat as your shower, the food not being as good as your mother's, etc... but thankfully everything is different, if it were the same it wouldn't be worth leaving home.

Also, we don't promise good weather; sometimes it rains, the seas are rough, and it's important to be aware that there may be changes to the itinerary, but what would a trip be without adventure?! If you invite a friend to join the tour, it's crucial that you inform them of this information. We don't want a grumpy traveler who's been "dragged" by their friends; this can ruin the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the group.

LEVA-ME stands out for its quality of accommodation that offers travelers. We don't do luxury or low-cost travel. On this trip through Tanzania, we'll stay in 4**** hotels and lodges and finally in a beautiful boutique hotel on the beach in Zanzibar.

There are several types of lodges in Africa, the ones we stayed in were made of stone and very comfortable.

Rooms are randomly assigned as travelers register. If you're traveling as a couple or with a friend, you'll have your own private room..

If you are traveling alone, you will share a room with another traveler of the same sex. who also travels alone. In some situations, you may have to stay in a triple room.

We usually stay in double rooms. Rooms may have a double bed or two separate bedsWhenever possible, we provide couples with double beds. Individuals traveling alone stay in rooms with two separate beds (sometimes this may not be possible in some accommodations).

It's rarely possible to add an additional single room. If you're interested, please contact us. We'll ask the hotels about availability and the price of the single supplement you'll have to pay, which is usually quite high.

We confirm the trip when all the conditions for it to take place are met., namely that the minimum number of travelers has been reached, as well as all issues relating to its organization have been finalized (reservations, transfers, activities, etc.). Generally travel confirmation takes place several months before the date, however, it may be extended up to 20 days before the date. It may happen that the trip is already confirmed at the time you make your reservation.

If we have not reached the minimum number of travelers up to 20 days before the trip, We contacted you to inform you that the trip has been cancelled.

If LEVA-ME cancels the trip We will give subscribers 3 options: Money back paid / Possibility to schedule for a new date / Possibility of use in another destination or leave it as a credit for future travel. If the traveler cancels, the terms and conditions apply.

No, each traveler is responsible for purchasing their own plane ticket. However, we always help the traveler guiding the purchase. LEVA-ME simply organizes the entire itinerary from the moment you arrive at your destination until your return.

LEVA-ME has travelers from several countries, for this reason it is not possible to include the flight in the travel package. On the other hand, we like each traveler to have the freedom to choose the dates, times, and airline they want to travel with.

Of course. After the trip is confirmed by LEVA-ME, all travelers will be sent a email with recommended flightsFlights will always be recommended for those departing from Lisbon and Porto. Travelers can, however, choose to purchase other flights that may be more advantageous. If you're departing from another city/country, we'll help with flight recommendations. If the trip involves a domestic flight, this will also be recommended, and it's essential that it be the same for all travelers.

You must arrive at your destination on the day the tour begins (start date shown on the website) and schedule your return on the day it ends.

No you need to come to Portugal, you can leave from your country of residence and we meet at our destination. Later we'll talk about how the group meets.

Of course you can, but you'll be on your own until you meet the trip leader and the group at the hotel on the day the trip begins. If you want You can also stay for more days after finishing your trip. from TAKE ME.

No, but we will provide all the information and contact details for the accommodations so you can book directly with them.

Big part of the group yes, since they choose the suggested flight. However, as we have travelers departing from various parts of the world, the official meeting point for the group is at the destination airport or hotel.

LEVA-ME and the trip leader keep the flight details and schedules of all travelers. If you're traveling on another plane and arrive at the same time or before most of the group, you can wait at the airport and we'll transfer you to your accommodation. If you arrive later at your destination, you'll have to make your own way to the hotel, where your trip leader will be waiting for you. But we'll always help you before and during your trip.

Yes, travelers departing from Lisbon/Porto meet the trip leader at the boarding gate to get to know each other before the trip.

Upon arrival in Tanzania, there will be several transfers depending on the arrival time of travelers. There will always be one of our drivers waiting for travelers. On the way back to Zanzibar, there is only one transfer from the hotel to the airport, taking into account the suggested flight time..

If you choose another flight and it doesn't coincide with the transfer time, you'll have to book an extra transfer with the hotel once you're there and pay the cost.

During the days of Safaris will be in closed jeeps, with an opening roof, each jeep carries 6 passengers and is driven by a professional driver/guide. Airport transfers can be made by jeep or bus.

From 10/1/24 The Tanzanian government has made it mandatory for all tourists wishing to enter Zanzibar to purchase travel insurance from an insurer stipulated by the government, even if they have already taken out other travel insurance. Although this doesn't make sense, it is a government imposition. As such, travelers you have to take out and pay for your Zanzibar insurance at the link: https://visitzanzibar.go.tz/ The insurance has a value of 44$ USD, and must be made out to the insurer Zanzibar Insurance Corporation (ZIC).

This insurance only covers Zanzibar and on no website provided by the government is it possible to see the conditions and guarantees of the insurance.

You are still required to provide LEVA-ME with travel insurance that covers the remaining days of your trip, including the safari days. We strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for the entire duration of your trip with a reputable insurer, as there is insufficient information about this mandatory insurance policy and whether it is truly a quality policy.

First of all, you will be there throughout the trip with the LEVA-ME trip leader. Then you will spend a week with other travelers, just like you have a common taste for travel, for adventure, for discovery… and who seek new emotions and unforgettable moments with this trip. Our travelers range in age from 20 to 70. We guarantee that the atmosphere is great fun and that you will end the trip with a new group of friends.

The big one majority of our groups are travelers Portuguese, but it is common to sometimes have travelers of other nationalities.

Given that trip leaders and most travelers are speakers of Portuguese language, Portuguese will be the language used. However, sometimes we have local guides on trips who only speak English or SpanishIf you have any difficulty understanding, you can always count on your trip leader to help you.

The trip leader is the person who will accompany you throughout your trip so you can enjoy your destination in a more relaxed way.

It's important to understand that a travel leader is not a tour guide. To provide you with in-depth knowledge of the country's history and local attractions, we regularly have local guides trained in this field to answer all your questions.

The goal and responsibility of the trip leader is to take care of all the logistics so you don't have to worry about accommodations, transportation, meals, and activities. At the same time it is the function of the trip leader introduce the group to the country and its culture, create a fun and respectful environment among travelers.

He will be a friend who will always be available to help you. help if you need it.

As passionate about the world that we are, we try to our trips are as sustainable as possibleWhenever possible, we work with companies and hotels that have a sustainability certificate. We provide our travelers with information on how to be responsible tourists. We strive to work with small businesses and hotels to stimulate the local economy. We avoid practices that negatively impact the population or location we visit, nor do we sell activities that exploit animals.

All travelers are welcome on our travels, but if you have a health problem that somehow affects you physically limit, we recommend that before you make the reservation talk to us so we can advise you or recommend a LEVA-ME trip that we think is most suitable.

All travelers are welcome on our travels, but if you have a health problem that somehow affects you physically limit, we recommend that before you make the reservation talk to us so we can advise you or recommend a LEVA-ME trip that we think is most suitable.

Breakfasts are generally included on all trips, and most are Western-style, consisting of juices, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, fruit, etc. Although this may vary depending on the country or location where you're staying, the meals included are generally local cuisine at the destination.

For this very reason, because we like to give you free time to be alone and enjoy it your way. That's why some meals are free so you can go wherever, whenever and with whomever you want.

On average, you will spend around €180 on meals that are not included.

We try whenever possible and, when notified in advance by the traveler, have vegetarian meals available. Meals for celiacs are more limited, and in this case, we recommend bringing some food. It's important to understand that not all countries are prepared for dietary restrictions.

No, no special equipment is required. However, binoculars are always a plus (we usually have one per jeep). A flashlight is recommended.

All tourists require a visa to enter Tanzania., the visa can be done online and it takes about 7-10 days to be issued. You can also get a visa on arrival to the country. In both cases the value is 50$US.

We recommend that all travelers make a traveler consultation or speak to your doctor 4 to 8 weeks before departure. Generally, there are no mandatory vaccinations, but you should check with your doctor and see if they recommend any medication. Only a doctor can recommend malaria prophylaxis to travelers.

Travelers should take precautions against mosquitoes and tsetse flies. Wear long clothing and insect repellent, especially at dawn, late afternoon, and evening.

Yes, it is mandatory All travelers should have travel insurance. We can arrange your insurance (additional cost), or you can do it quickly online through many insurance companies' websites. It's important that you provide us with your policy details in case you have any health problems during your trip, so we can activate the insurance for you.

Yes, Tanzania receives millions of tourists every year. It's important to understand that you are in the habitat of wild animals that sometimes approach the lodges. All hotels have guards on watch and dangerous situations are very rare, however and important to be vigilant. You also need to be careful when you go on safari, not to put your limbs, such as your head or arms, outside the jeep when you are very close to wild animals. We know that when you see a baby lion you will want to jump out of the jeep and pick it up, but remember, this is not your home and these are wild animals.

To have over 18 years old. Youth over 16 are admitted when accompanied by their parents. The cost is the same as for an adult.

This happens because the last available seat on the trip is for sharing a room with another person of the same sex. Sometimes we may also have two double-occupancy seats—meaning we only have one room with a double bed available.

Exactly, when the trip is sold out, it's sold out. Unfortunately, we can't add any more people because we don't have any available rooms or transportation. You can always stay in waiting list and if there is any withdrawal we will contact you.

Of course! We don't like trips where every minute is scheduled. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time for you to explore on your own!

Since it's an experience not everyone is willing to undertake, we decided not to include it in the program. However, if it's a dream of yours and since you're going to Tanzania, you don't want to miss the opportunity, you can go a week in advance, venture up that climb, and join the tour on the day it begins. You can read João's post about Kilimanjaro; it has everything you need to know. www.joaocajuda.com/pt/kilimanjaro/

All available seats can be reserved.

No, Places are only reserved after payment has been made for the reservation (30% of the total amount).
