DAY 11 | HURGHADA – FINAL DESTINATION

Breakfast at the hotel. It's time to pack our bags and return to our roots. We'll take a van transfer to Hurghada airport and continue on to our final destination. This trip to Egypt was incredible, wasn't it?!

Because not all travelers have the same interests, some activities are not included in the trip price. Interested travelers must book and pay for additional activities up to 70 days before the trip. Reservations and cancellations will not be accepted after this date. Activity prices may change at any time.

ABU SIMBEL – €70 per person

One of the most incredible temples you'll ever visit. The Abu Simbel temple is an archaeological wonder carved into the rock that exalts Pharaoh Ramses II. The grandeur of this historic site is simply breathtaking. We'll leave around 6:00 AM, a four-hour drive almost to the border with Sudan. After visiting the temple, we'll have lunch (included) and return to our hotel in Aswan. I hope you enjoyed this day as much as we did.

SUNRISE IN A BALLOON – €100 per person

Watching the sunrise over the Valley of the Kings in a hot air balloon is an unforgettable experience. If you plan to sign up for this activity, please note: You'll wake up around 3:30 AM. You'll need to fill your stomach with something, so buy something the day before. The trip to the balloon location takes approximately 1 hour.

In the balloon, since we're at a certain altitude, it's recommended to bring a sweater as it will be cold. The balloon flight lasts approximately 45 minutes. Each balloon carries up to 20 people. After the balloon flight, we'll return to the hotel, have breakfast, check out, and head to Hurghada.

RED SEA BOAT TRIP – €50 per person

If you want to see the turquoise waters of the Red Sea, then today is the day. We'll take a 30-minute drive to downtown Hurghada to catch our private boat. We'll then sail through the blue waters of the Red Sea, and if we're lucky, we might even spot some dolphins along the way. After arriving at Eden Island, you'll have your umbrella and lounge chairs to enjoy a few hours on a beach that reminds us of the Maldives—the water is incredible! The beach has a bar. In the late afternoon, we'll return to Hurghada and the hotel. Included: Transfer, boat trip, island entrance, umbrella, lounge chair, snorkeling equipment, light snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks on board.

Flight prices may vary depending on the season, number of stopovers, airline promotions, etc. On average, the approximate prices are:

  • Flight Lisbon – Cairo – Hurghada – Lisbon: ± €400
  • Flight Cairo – Aswan: ± €100
  • Meals not included: ± €10 per meal

If the reservation is made less than 70 days before the travel date, payment must be made in full.

Of course, in addition to our groups including couples, friends, and family, most of our travelers sign up alone. It's a trip to meet new people and make friends.

This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of age. We're sure that if you come with a relaxed mindset, you'll have an unforgettable week. It's important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and therefore there are always unexpected surprises. It's a trip where you'll spend a lot of time in the jeep, but it's not a trip that requires physical exertion.

Traveling in Egypt is not like going to the Four Seasons in Paris... you're in Africa and things can happen like: encounters with animals you don't have at home, the internet being weak or not working, the air conditioning being broken, the shower water not coming out with as much pressure and hot as your shower, the food not being as good as your mother's, etc... but thankfully everything is different, if it were the same it wouldn't be worth leaving home.

Also, unfortunately, we don't promise good weather. Sometimes it rains, the seas are rough, and it's important to be aware that there may be changes to the itinerary. But what would a trip be without adventure?! If you invite a friend to join you on the tour, it's crucial that you inform them of this information. We don't want a grumpy traveler who's been "dragged" by their friends; this can ruin the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the group.

LEVA-ME stands out for the quality of the accommodations it offers travelers. We don't offer luxury or low-cost travel. We stay in double rooms that can have one double bed or two separate beds. In some situations, you may need to stay in a triple room. Whenever possible, we provide couples with double beds. People traveling alone stay in rooms with two separate beds (exceptionally, this may not be possible in some accommodations). We always stay in 5-star hotels.

Room assignments are randomized as travelers register. We try to match roommates based on age. LEVA-ME already assigns all rooms at the time of travel. If you're traveling alone, you'll share a room with another traveler of the same sex who is also traveling alone. If you're traveling as a couple or with a friend, you'll have your own private room.

It's rarely possible to add an additional single room. If you're interested, please contact us. We'll ask the hotels about availability and the price of the single supplement you'll have to pay, which is usually quite high.

No, each traveler is responsible for purchasing their own plane ticket. LEVA-ME simply organizes the entire itinerary from the moment you arrive at your destination until your return.

LEVA-ME welcomes travelers from various countries, so it's not possible to include flights in your travel package. However, we like each traveler to have the freedom to choose their travel dates, times, and airline. If you want to leave earlier or stay longer, you're completely free.

After LEVA-ME confirms your trip, all travelers will be sent an email with recommended flights. Flights will always be recommended for those departing from Lisbon and Porto. Travelers can, however, choose to purchase other flights that may be more advantageous. If you're departing from another city/country, we can recommend you if you need assistance.

You must arrive at your destination on the day the tour begins (start date shown on the website) and schedule your return on the day it ends.

No, you can depart from your country of residence and we'll meet at your destination. We'll discuss how the group assembles later.

Of course, you can, but you'll be on your own until you meet the tour leader and group at the hotel on the day the tour begins. If you wish, you can also stay for a few more days after the LEVA-ME tour ends.

No, but we will provide you with the names of the accommodations so you can book directly with them.

Most of the group does, as they choose the recommended flight. However, as we have travelers departing from various parts of the world, the official group meeting point is at the destination airport, or for those traveling on other flights, the meeting point is at the hotel.

We'll keep track of all participants' flight details and schedules. Some will meet at the airport in Portugal, others at their destination airport, and others may even meet at the riad.

Yes, travelers departing from Lisbon/Porto will meet the trip leader at the boarding gate to get to know each other before their trip.

When you arrive at your destination airport, the local guide will be there with a sign saying LEVA-ME, just join him and wait for all the travelers to gather.

We will mostly use buses, but we may also use jeeps in some situations.

We confirm your trip when all the necessary conditions are met, including reaching the minimum number of travelers and finalizing all organizational issues (reservations, transfers, activities, etc.). Confirmation usually occurs several months before the trip, but it can take up to 20 days before the date. It's possible that the trip is already confirmed by the time you make your reservation.

If we haven't reached the minimum number of travelers up to 20 days before the trip, we will contact you to inform you that the trip has been canceled.

If LEVA-ME cancels the trip, we will give participants 3 options: Refund of the money paid / Possibility of scheduling for a new date / Possibility of using it in another destination or leaving it as credit for future trips.

If the traveler cancels, the terms and conditions apply.

First of all, you will be there throughout the trip with the LEVA-ME trip leader. Then you will spend a week with other travelers, just like you have a common taste for travel, for adventure, for discovery… and who seek new emotions and unforgettable moments with this trip. Our travelers range in age from 20 to 70. We guarantee that the atmosphere is great fun and that you will end the trip with a new group of friends.

The vast majority of our groups are Portuguese travelers, but it is common for us to occasionally have travelers of other nationalities.

Since the tour leaders and most travelers are Portuguese speakers, Portuguese will be the preferred language. Our guides and drivers all speak some Portuguese, French, and Spanish. If you have any difficulty understanding, your tour leader can help.

The trip leader is the person who will accompany you throughout your trip, helping you enjoy your destination in a more relaxed manner. It's important to understand that a trip leader isn't a tour guide who will tell you about the history of monuments or cultural details; for this reason, we occasionally have local guides who have studied the country to answer all your questions. The trip leader's goal is to handle all the logistics so you don't have to worry about accommodations, transportation, meals, and activities. At the same time, the trip leader's role is to introduce the group to the country and its culture in general, creating a fun and respectful environment among travelers. They will be a friend who will always be available to help you if you need it.

As passionate about the world, we strive to make our travels as sustainable as possible. Whenever possible, we work with companies and hotels that have a sustainability certificate. We provide our travelers with information on how to be responsible tourists. We strive to work with small businesses and hotels to stimulate the local economy. We avoid practices that negatively impact the population or location we visit, nor do we sell activities that exploit animals.

All travelers are welcome on our trips, but if you have a health problem that limits your physical condition in any way, we recommend that you speak to us before booking so we can advise you or recommend a LEVA-ME trip that we think is more suitable.

Breakfasts are included on all trips, most of which are Western-style and consist of juices, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, fruit, etc. Although this may vary depending on the country or location where you're staying, the meals included are generally local cuisine at the destination.

That's why we like to give you some time to be alone and enjoy every second your way. That's why some meals are free, so you can go wherever you want. On average, you should spend €210 on meals that aren't included, but we recommend bringing €250.

We always try to have vegetarian meals available whenever possible, and when notified by the traveler. Meals for celiacs are more limited, and in these cases, we recommend bringing some food. Please understand that in certain places we travel, options are very limited.

Extra activities must be booked and paid for up to 70 days before the tour, except for the hot air balloon ride. No new reservations or cancellations will be accepted after this date. The tour leader may not accompany the extra activities, but you will always have someone in charge of the activity who will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel.

No, you don't need any special equipment. Unless you want to bring a sheet/pillowcase to sleep on at night while camping.

The visa is issued and paid upon arrival in Egypt, it costs 25$ USD and they only accept card payments.

We recommend travelers consult a travel medicine clinic or speak with their doctor 4 to 8 weeks before departure. Only a doctor can recommend any medication or vaccination to travelers.

All travelers are required to have travel insurance. You can purchase this insurance from any insurance company and must send us proof of coverage.

The situation is currently relatively normal in the best-known tourist centers of Cairo, Alexandria, the Red Sea, Luxor and Aswan, yet the terrorist threat exists in Egypt.

Travel should be carried out, whenever possible, in organized groups.

Although isolated attacks against tourists have been recorded sporadically, most terrorist attacks have targeted security forces or places of worship. But we don't want to worry you; Egypt receives millions of tourists annually, and there are numerous police and military personnel on the streets. Close cooperation with police and/or military authorities is advised. It is recommended that you always carry documentation and follow the instructions given to you by the Egyptian police and military.

Remember that sometimes we're in very inhospitable areas, and access to hospitals is limited, and it can take hours to reach a place of emergency. People are generally very friendly and kind. In any case, you should take the usual precautions, especially in large cities.

Be over 18 years of age. Youth over 16 are admitted when accompanied by their parents. The price is the same as for an adult.

This happens because the last available seat on the trip is to share a room with another person of the same sex.

Exactly, when a trip is sold out, it's sold out. Unfortunately, we can't add any more people because we don't have any available rooms or transportation. You can always stay on the waiting list, and if anyone cancels, we'll contact you.

Of course! We don't like trips where every minute is scheduled. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time for you to explore on your own!

All available seats can be reserved.

No, seats are only reserved after payment for the reservation has been made (30% of the total amount).
