Discover the Wonders of Egypt on this luxury organized trip by LEVA-ME!
We’ll take you on a journey to the land where history blends with mysticism! Unravel the ancient mysteries of Egypt. Countless temples have emerged on the banks of the Nile River, which meanders through the Sahara Desert, from the north to the south of the country.
Embrace the madness of Cairo and explore the grandeur of the Pyramids of Giza, the first wonder of the world, while learning about the legends surrounding their inexplicable construction. Enjoy breathtaking landscapes and historic cities along the way. Egypt’s history spans millennia – to give you an idea, the famous Cleopatra is closer in time to the launch of the iPhone than to the construction of the pyramids, so you can imagine how long ago they were built.
The moment we lay eyes on the Abu Simbel temple, words fail us. It’s a journey through time, amid golden sand dunes, temples with over 4000 years of history, adorned with majestic columns and intricately carved walls. Egypt is all about warmth, exoticism, date palm trees laden with fruit, dust, the serenity of the Nile, and the turquoise waters of the Red Sea.
Let yourself be enchanted by Egyptian hospitality as you live a truly extraordinary experience. We wanted to create a different kind of trip, transporting you to a unique atmosphere, filled with adventure and comfort, so you could experience your very own Arabian Nights during your vacation. We are certain that Egypt will leave an indelible mark on you.

Can I sign up alone?
Absolutely! Our groups consist of couples, friends, and families, but most of our travelers sign up individually. It’s a journey to meet new people and make friends.
Is this trip suitable for me?
This trip is designed for people who enjoy fun and making friends, regardless of age. If you come with a relaxed spirit, you’re sure to have an unforgettable week. It’s important to understand that this is an adventure trip, so unexpected situations may arise. While we spend a lot of time traveling in jeeps, there’s no need for physical exertion.
Traveling in Egypt is not like staying at the Four Seasons in Paris. Being in Africa, you might encounter situations such as encounters with animals not found at home, weak or nonexistent internet, malfunctioning air conditioning, showers with less pressure and heat than what you’re used to, or food that may not compare to your mom’s cooking. However, the uniqueness of everything makes the experience worthwhile. If it were the same as home, it wouldn’t be worth leaving, right?
Unfortunately, we cannot promise perfect weather. Sometimes, it rains, and the sea can be rough. Be aware that there might be changes to the itinerary. But what’s a journey without adventure? If you invite a friend to join the tour, make sure they are aware of these factors. We want to avoid having a grumpy traveler who was “dragged” along by friends, as it can spoil the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the group.
What type of accommodation will we stay in?
LEVA-ME stands out for providing quality accommodations to travelers. We offer neither luxury nor low-cost trips. Most of the time, you’ll stay in double rooms with either a double bed or two separate beds. In some situations, you may have to stay in triple rooms. Whenever possible, couples will have double beds. Solo travelers will share rooms with other solo travelers of the same gender, but exceptions may occur. We’ll stay in 5-star hotels throughout the trip.
How are room allocations made?
Room allocations are made randomly as travelers sign up. We try to match roommates based on their age group. By the time of the trip, LEVA-ME will have all the room arrangements finalized. If you’re traveling alone, you’ll share the room with another solo traveler of the same gender. Couples or friends will have their own private room.
What if I want a single room?
It’s rarely possible to add an additional single room. If you’re interested, please contact us. We’ll inquire about availability and the price of the single supplement, which is usually quite high.
Are flights included?
No, each traveler is responsible for booking their own flight tickets. LEVA-ME organizes the entire itinerary from the moment you arrive at the destination until your return.
Why aren’t flights included?
LEVA-ME has travelers from different countries, making it impossible to include flights in the trip package. Additionally, we want every traveler to have the freedom to choose their preferred dates, flight times, and airline. You can decide to arrive earlier or extend your stay; you have complete freedom.
Can you help me book flights?
Once the trip is confirmed by LEVA-ME, we will send all travelers an email with the recommended flights, mainly departing from Lisbon and Porto. However, travelers can choose to book other flights if they find more advantageous options. If you’re departing from a different city/country and need assistance, we can provide recommendations.
When should I arrive at the destination and depart?
You should arrive at the destination on the tour start date (as mentioned on the website) and book your return flight on the tour end date.
I live abroad; do I need to travel to Lisbon to join the group?
No, you can depart from your country of residence, and we will meet at the destination. We’ll discuss how the group will gather later.
I don’t have a flight on the tour start date; can I arrive earlier?
Yes, you can arrive earlier, but you’ll be on your own until you meet the travel leader and the group at the hotel on the tour start date. If you wish, you can also extend your stay after the LEVA-ME tour ends.
If I want to arrive earlier or stay later, can I book accommodation through LEVA-ME?
No, we won’t book accommodation for these additional days, but we’ll provide the names of the hotels so you can book directly with them.
Will the group of travelers travel together?
A significant portion of the group will travel together, especially if they choose the recommended flights. However, as we have travelers departing from various parts of the world, the official meeting point for the group is at the destination airport. For those taking different flights, the meeting point will be the hotel.
How will we all meet, given that some will be on different flights?
We’ll have all the flight details and schedules of all participants. Some will meet at the airport in Portugal, others at the destination airport, and some may meet at the riad.
Can travelers from Portugal meet at the airport?
Yes, travelers departing from Lisbon/Porto can meet the travel leader at the boarding gate to get acquainted before the journey.
How are transfers organized?
Upon arrival at the destination airport, a local guide will be waiting with a sign displaying LEVA-ME’s name. Just join the guide and wait until all travelers have gathered.
What type of transportation will be used during the trip?
We will mainly use buses, but in some situations, we may use jeeps.

Generally, confirmation occurs several months before the trip, but in exceptional cases, it may extend up to 20 days before the start date. It’s possible that the trip may be confirmed at the time you make your reservation.

If it’s the traveler who cancels, the terms and conditions apply.
Who will I share this journey with?
Throughout the trip, you will be accompanied by the LEVA-ME travel leader. You will also travel with other adventurers, including solo travelers, couples, friends, and families, all sharing the common passion for travel, adventure, and discovery. The age range is diverse, with travelers from 20 to 80 years old, and everyone is welcome! We guarantee a fun atmosphere, and you’ll leave the journey with a new group of friends.
Will everyone be Portuguese?
The majority of our groups consist of Portuguese travelers, but occasionally, we may have travelers from other nationalities.
What language is spoken during LEVA-ME trips?
As the travel leaders and most of the travelers speak Portuguese, it will be the primary language used. Our guides and drivers also speak a bit of Portuguese, French, and Spanish. If you have any difficulties in understanding, the travel leader will be there to assist you.
What is the role of the travel leader?
The travel leader will be with you throughout the journey, ensuring you enjoy the destination in a relaxed manner. Please note that the travel leader is not a tourist guide who will provide detailed historical or cultural information. We occasionally have local guides who are knowledgeable about the monuments and cultural aspects. The travel leader takes care of all logistics, such as accommodations, transportation, meals, and activities, so you can fully immerse yourself in the experience. Additionally, the travel leader will introduce the group to the country and its culture, creating a fun and respectful atmosphere among travelers. Consider them a friend who is always available to assist you when needed.
Do you have a sustainability policy?
As passionate world travelers, we strive to make our trips as sustainable as possible. Whenever possible, we work with companies and hotels that have sustainability certifications. We provide information to our travelers on how to be responsible tourists. We aim to collaborate with small local businesses and hotels to support the local economy. We avoid practices that could have a negative impact on the local population or the places we visit, and we do not promote activities that exploit animals.
I have a health condition; can I join the trip?
All travelers are welcome on our journeys. However, if you have a health condition that may limit you physically, we recommend contacting us before making a reservation. We can advise you or recommend a more suitable LEVA-ME trip for your needs.
What meals are included?
Breakfast is included in all our trips, mostly consisting of Western-style options like juices, milk, coffee, bread, eggs, fruits, etc., although this may vary depending on the country or location where we stay. The included meals are generally local cuisine of the destination.
Why are some meals not included?
We like to give you some free time to explore and enjoy your moments independently. That’s why some meals are not included, giving you the flexibility to choose where you want to eat. On average, you might spend around €210 on meals not included, but we recommend bringing €250.
Do you cater to dietary restrictions?

What about extra activities?

What about visas?
Visas are processed and paid upon arrival in Egypt, costing $25 USD, and only card payments are accepted.

Do I need travel insurance?

Is it safe?
The situation is currently relatively stable in the most well-known tourist areas in Cairo, Alexandria, the Red Sea, Luxor, and Aswan. However, there is still a terrorism threat in Egypt. Travel should preferably be done in organized groups when possible. Although sporadic attacks against tourists have occurred, most terrorist attacks have targeted security forces or places of worship.
We don’t want to cause any undue concern; Egypt receives millions of tourists annually, and there is a significant presence of police and military on the streets. It is advised to cooperate with the authorities and follow the instructions of Egyptian police and military personnel. It’s worth remembering that we might be in remote areas with limited access to hospitals, and it may take hours to reach a medical facility. The local population is generally friendly and kind. However, you should take normal precautions, especially in major cities.

Why do you sometimes only have one last place available for a man or woman?
This happens when the last available spot on the trip is to share a room with another person of the same gender.
If the trip is sold out, does that mean I can’t sign up, even if I’m traveling alone?
Exactly, when the trip is sold out, it’s sold out. Unfortunately, we cannot add any more people as there are no available spots in the accommodations or transportation. You can always join the waiting list, and if there are any cancellations, we will get in touch with you.
Will I have time for myself?

You can book all available spots.
Can you hold spots?
No, spots are only reserved after the payment of the reservation fee (30% of the total amount).
