Incredible India… We take you on a journey to one of the most fascinating countries in the world! A trip to India starts long before we get on the plane. Our idea of India is shaped by the myths and legends we hear about the country since our childhood.
Once on Indian soil, the country’s mystical image is met with a massive culture shock. We are put to the test in every way in this new reality so different from ours… It’s everything you ever imagined but multiplied by 100. India is more than a country, it’s almost like a sub-continent full of stories, mysticism and color. A beautiful country, with exotic landscapes, magnificent temples and smiling people… For many, the perfect place for a change, or to get their feet back on the ground. In India we can easily live a dream or a nightmare, a utopia… It’s a trip that will certainly bring you knowledge and memorable moments.
On this fascinating journey, LEVA-ME takes you to the most iconic places in the country, from the River Ganges, through the Taj Mahal to the backwaters of Kerala… knowing its culture and traditions, it takes you to taste the wonderful Indian food and its incredible landscapes and temples. A trip full of adventure but with a lot of comfort (5-star hotels and almost all-inclusive). India has fascinated the world for centuries, what is so enigmatic about this land and people? We take you to find out?!

The river bank, seen from a boat, early in the morning, is an extraordinary sight.
In the afternoon we will visit other places of interest. In the evening, we will return to the Ghats on the bank of the Ganges River to see the illuminated Ganga Aarti ceremony. As the sun begins to set, bathing the river in gold… Bells, gongs and chants fill the air. Offerings of balloons and flowers are made to the river. Is this trip for me?
This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of age. We are sure that if you come with a relaxed spirit, you will have an unforgettable holiday. It is important that you understand that this is an adventure trip and therefore there are always unforeseen events. It’s also important to keep in mind that you’re going to have a huge culture shock in India. It is still very normal for situations to happen such as: encounters with animals that you don’t have at home, the internet is weak or doesn’t work, the air conditioning is broken, the shower water doesn’t come out with as much pressure and hot as your shower, the food doesn’t be as good as your mother’s, etc… but I’m glad everything is different, if it were the same it wouldn’t be worth leaving home. Also, unfortunately we don’t promise good weather, sometimes it rains, the sea is rough, and it’s important to be aware that there may be changes to the itinerary, but what would a trip be without adventure?! If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you let them know about this information, all we don’t want is a grumpy traveler who has been “dragged” by friends, this can spoil the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the group.
What kind of rooms will we stay in?
The LEVA-ME hotels on this trip are 5 stars. We will stay in double rooms. If you are traveling alone, you will be sharing a room with another traveler of the same sex. If you are traveling as a couple or with a friend, you will have your own private room. It is possible that in some situations you will need a triple room or you will have to share a double bed with your room partner, unfortunately hotels do not always guarantee separate beds.
What if I want a single room?
Get in touch with us for more information. If there is availability in all hotels to add a room, we can do so. You will have to pay the single supplement. Please contact us to find out if it is possible and how much it costs.
When should I buy the flight?
You should only buy your flight after paying for the tour and confirming with LEVA-ME that your reservation is complete and the tour confirmed.
Can I book alone?
Of course, most of our travelers travel alone. It’s a trip to meet new people and make friends.
Who will I share my trip with?
First of all, you will be with the LEVA-ME tour leader throughout the trip. Then you’ll spend a week with other travelers, who like you have a common taste for travel, adventure, discovery… and who seek new emotions and unforgettable moments with this trip. The age range of our travelers is wide and goes from 20 to 70 years old. I assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you will end the trip with a new group of friends. Some already know each other from previous trips, now you will also be part of the groups.
Does the group of travelers travel all together?
No, as there are travelers departing from various parts of the world, the group’s meeting point is at Varanasi airport or at the hotel.
How do we all get together, as some go on other flights?
We will keep the details and flight times of all participants. There is only one transfer from Varanasi airport to the hotel. If you travel on another plane and arrive at the same time or before the majority of the group, you can wait at the airport and we will all go together on that transfer. If you arrive later in Varanasi you will have to go to the hotel on your own.
I don’t have a flight on the day the tour starts, can I go before or after?
Of course you can but you will be on your own until we meet at the hotel. We do not make reservations
I don’t have a flight on the day the tour starts, can I go before or after?
Of course you can but you will be on your own until we meet at the hotel. We do not make reservations for extra nights, but we will let you know if so so that you can do so directly.
When does LEVA-ME confirm the trip?
We confirm the trip when all the conditions for its realization are met, namely having reached the minimum number of travelers, as well as finalizing all questions related to the organization of the same (reservations, transfers, activities…). Confirmation usually takes place several months before the trip, however it can take a maximum of 20 days before the date. It may happen that at the time you make your reservation the trip is already confirmed.
And if LEVA-ME don’t confirm?
If up to 20 days before the trip we have not reached the minimum number of travelers, we will contact you to inform you that the trip has been cancelled.
What if the trip is canceled by LEVA-ME?
If LEVA-ME cancels the trip, we will give subscribers 3 options: Return of the money paid / Possibility to schedule for a new date / Possibility to use it in another destination or leave it in credit for future trips. If the traveler cancels, the terms and conditions apply.
Who will I share this trip with?
First of all, you’ll be with the TAKE ME trip leader for the entire trip. You will also go with other travelers, many who travel alone, couples, friends, family… all with a common taste for travel, adventure, discovery… The age group is transversal, we have travelers from 20 to 80 years old, all They are welcome! We guarantee that the atmosphere is very fun and that you will end the trip with a new group of friends.
Are we just Portuguese?
The vast majority of our groups are Portuguese travelers, but it is common to have travelers from other nationalities.
What language is spoken during LEVA-ME trips?
Given that travel leaders and most travelers are Portuguese speakers, Portuguese will be the language used. Our guides and drivers all speak a little Portuguese, French and Spanish. If you have any difficulty understanding, you have the travel leader to help you.
What is the role of the travel leader?
The travel leader is the person who will accompany you throughout the trip in order to enjoy the destination in a more relaxed way. It is important that you understand that a travel leader is not a tour guide who will tell you about the history of the monuments or about cultural details, for that we have local guides who have studied occasionally so that you can clarify all your questions. The purpose of the travel leader is to take care of all the logistics so you don’t have to worry about accommodation, transport, meals and activities. At the same time, it is the role of the travel leader to make the country and its culture known to the group in general, creating a fun and respectful environment among travelers. It will be a friend who will always be available to help you if you need it.
Do you have a sustainability policy?
As passionate about the World that we are, we try to make our trips as sustainable as possible. Whenever possible, we work with companies and hotels that have a sustainability certificate. We provide our travelers with information on how to be responsible tourists. We try to work with small businesses and hotels in order to activate the local economy. We avoid practices that in any way have a negative impact on the population or place we visit, nor do we sell activities that exploit animals.
I have a health problem, can I go on the trip?
All travelers are welcome on our trips, but if you have a health problem that somehow limits you physically, we recommend that you talk to us before making the reservation so that we can advise you or recommend a trip TAKE ME We think it’s more suitable.
Is there an age requirement?
Be over 18 years old. Over 16s are welcome when accompanied by parents. The price is the same as an adult.
Do I need to bring some material?
No, just bring your clothes, comfortable sneakers, flip-flops and a bikini.
Will I have time just for myself?
Sure! We don’t like trips that have all the minutes programmed, although this is perhaps the most complete we have at LEVA-ME. Our trip will be busy, but there will also be time to explore on your own!
Are meals included? Are there vegetarian options?
Yes, meals are all included with the exception of some situations on flight days. There are always vegetarian options, however those who have gluten and lactose limitations will have to manage what they eat taking into account the options.
Health and Vaccines?
There are no mandatory vaccinations for entry into India, with the exception of the yellow fever vaccine, for passengers coming from affected areas (which is not the case in Portugal).
Dangers?
India is a relatively safe country to visit! However, there are some things that you have to keep in mind: Given the size of the country and the religious and cultural diversity, the possibility of interreligious and separatist conflicts in much of the territory is permanent. In recent years there has been an increase in the number of sexual assaults against women, not only Indians but also foreigners. Special care is therefore recommended when walking alone.
It is common to have pickpockets in tourist areas, it is necessary to pay extra attention, especially when we are not in a group and in more isolated areas.
How many tour seats can I buy at once?
All seats can be reserved.
Why is it that sometimes there is only one last seat available for a man or a woman?
This is because the last available seat on the trip is to share a room with another person of the same sex.
When the trip is sold out, does it mean that I can no longer register, even if I am only one person?
Exactly, when the trip is sold out, it is sold out. Unfortunately, we were unable to add any more people as we do not have available space in the rooms or transport. You can always be on the waiting list and if there is any cancellation we will contact you.
Can you save seats?
Not. Seats are only reserved after the reservation has been paid.
