DAY 1

BALI

Welcome to the magical island of Bali. It’s time to join the group with the LEVA-ME Tour Leader (João, Mariana, Susana or Leonardo) and a local guide. After leaving the airport, we’ll take a private transfer to the hotel*. After checking-in we will have time to meet the rest of the group and explore the area where the hotel is. It’s one of the busiest areas of the island with hundreds of restaurants, bars and markets.

BALI

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy the hotel’s swimming pool or the beach.

DAY 3

BALI – FLORES – RINCA

Breakfast at the hotel. It’s time to pack and get to know the real Indonesia (don’t worry, we’ll come back to Bali on the last leg of the trip to visit the best places in the island :-). Private transfer to the airport to fly to Flores Island. Upon arrival, transfer from the airport to the port where we will have a private boat waiting. Yes … during the next few days we will explore the most incredible islands in the country, all on a boat just for us! I confess that even we are excited about this idea!

DAY 4

PADAR ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND

Today we will sail through the Indonesian Sea, stopping on the island of Rinca to see Komodo dragons. For those of you who have never heard of them, they are the largest lizards in the world at more than two meters long. In the same island we can also find different species of monkeys, buffalos and deer, among other animals. We’ll visit a few viewpoints with panoramic views of the island and exotic beaches where there will be time for snorkeling. There are over 1000 species of fish. The evening will be no less exciting: prepare to have dinner on a deserted beach around a bonfire with your feet in the sea, it will be a memorable dinner.

DAY 5

MANTA POINT – RINCA ISLAND

Today after breakfast we’ll dock our boat off the coast of the beautiful island of Padar. After a dip in its turquoise waters it’s time to take a walk to the top of the island … where you’ll see what is probably one of the most breathtaking landscapes in your life!! After returning to the boat we will sail around the island, passing by the village of Komodo where we can buy some of the typical souvenirs in the market. Done with shopping, it’s time to go to one of the most enchanting beaches in the world, Pink Beach.  Yes! The name comes from the rose-colored beach sand! Here we’ll go swimming and snorkeling in one of Indonesia’s richest corals.

DAY 6

FLORES – LABUAN BAJO – LOMBOK

Morning cruise to Labuan Bajo with some stops for swimming. Transfer to the airport, flight to Lombok, transfer to the hotel, leisure free time.

DAY 7

LOMBOK – GILI TRAWANGAN

Free day at leisure or Extra activity (not included – see more information below). In the middle of the afternoon we will transfer by bus to the pier (1:00H) to take a boat to the Gili islands, Gili Trawangan will be ours. (20 min).

Extra activity: Today we will explore a little of the island of Lombok, visiting Benang Stokel and Benang Kelambu waterfalls. The path to the waterfall is steep, so you need medium physical condition and comfortable shoes for the visit. After refreshing yourself in the waterfall, we’ll have lunch at a local restaurant and then make a short visit to a village where you can observe the daily lives of the locals and learn more about their culture. After the village, we’ll head to the pier where we’ll take the boat to the Gili Islands.

DAY 8

LOMBOK – GILI TRAWANGAN

After breakfast transfer to the pier where we’ll take a boat to Gili Trawagan. Free day to explore this small island with so many bars, restaurants and other great spots.

DAY 9

GILI TRAWANGAN

Free day to explore one of the most famous islands in Indonesia. Here there are plenty of bars, restaurants and shops as well as lovely beaches and nice spots to watch the sunset.

DAY 10

GILI TRAWANGAN – BALI – UBUD

Check-out after breakfast. We’ll catch a transfer to the pier where we’ll take a boat and sail back to Bali. Private transfer to the region of Ubud. The rest of day is free to explore the most beautiful region of Bali.

DAY 11

BALI – UBUD

The day is free to stay at the hotel relaxing or walking around Ubud village. You can also participate in one or both extra activities * (not included).

Extra Activity (daytime): The Essence of Bali, the temples and the blessing.

Balinese locals are deeply spiritual people, with the roots of the island’s beliefs and traditions running deep in local lifestyles. We will visit some of the most famous temples and learn about this fascinating culture. You will learn to pray to the Gods and to do a spiritual cleansing in the holy water of the temple. Lunch is included.

Extra Activity (nighttime): Kecak Dance – Ubud is the most cultural and spiritual area of Bali. Tonight, you’ll have the opportunity to watch a fascinating dance and singing show (around more than 100 boys and men) and watch the Gamelan, typical music and dance of this region.

DAY 12

BALI – UBUD

Today is free to explore the rice fields of Ubud or go shopping. You can also join the extra activity * (not included).

Extra Activities:

Mud Games – Ready for a morning full of adrenaline? You can start by playing a traditional Balinese game: mud fighting. We will say no more but we can guarantee you’ll have lots of fun, especially because you’ll be playing with the locals. Delight yourself with a traditional snack after the games.

Rafting: We’ll be paddling down an over 9km-long river surrounded by a pristine forest and some gorgeous waterfalls. Don’t be afraid, all rafts are accompanied by professionally trained pilots. Get ready for a hot bath and a gourmet buffet overlooking the verdant mountains of the region.

DAY 13

BALI – UBUD

Free day to do whatever you want, swimming pool, markets, etc. … yes, it’s the last day, so you’ll surely find the time to shop for the last souvenirs. 🙂 At the end of the day we’ll meet for the group farewell dinner at the hotel.

DAY 14

BALI – UBUD – DESTINO FINAL

Today is time to pack and return home. Good things last the necessary time to be unforgettable, as this trip will surely be. After checking out of the hotel, the private transfer will take us to the airport, where each traveler will fly to their final destination. See you soon!

Is this trip for me?

This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of their age. We are sure that if you come with a relaxed mindset, you’ll have an unforgettable couple of weeks. It is important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and as such, there is always an element of the unexpected. Traveling in Indonesia is not like staying at the Four Seasons in Paris… a lot can happen, from coming across different animals to getting a weak or no internet connection, the air conditioning breaking, the shower having lower water pressure and temperature than the one in your house, the food not being as good as your mother’s, etc… But it’s good that things are different, otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth it to leave home. Also, good weather is unfortunately not a guarantee, as sometimes it can rain, the sea can get rough, and it is important that you know that there may be changes in the itinerary. What kind of a trip would it be without some adventure?!

If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you pass them this information. We just don’t want a cranky traveler who has been “dragged” by friends, whose mood can affect the group’s fun and relaxed atmosphere.

What kind of rooms are we staying in?

We will be staying in double rooms. If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler of the same gender. In some rare cases, you may need to share a triple room or share a double bed. If you are traveling as a couple, you’ll get your own private room. The 3 nights on the boat will also be in a double (or triple) room.

What if I want a single room?

If you want a single room, it may be possible, but you will have to pay an extra fee. Contact us for more information.

 When should I book my flight?

You should book your flight only after making the payment of the tour and receiving the confirmation that your reservation with LEVA-ME is completed. Once we send you a confirmation email, you can book your flight. (This will only happen after a minimum number of participants has signed up, when we contact the travelers signed up to tell them that they can buy the international flight from that moment on).

Can I go alone?

Of course, most of our travelers sign up individually. It is a trip in which you will meet new people and make friends.

Who will I share my journey with?

You’ll spend the trip with one of the tour leaders  (depending on the dates). You’ll also spend the 2 weeks with other travelers who have many things in common with you, like the passion for traveling, for adventure, for discovery … and who are looking for new emotions and unforgettable moments on this trip. We normally have travelers from anywhere between 20 to 70 years old and we can assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you’ll end the trip with a new group of friends.

Is the group of travelers flying together?

No, there are travelers coming from different parts of the world, so the group meeting point will be at the hotel in Bali.

How do we meet in Bali?

LEVA-ME will gather the data and flight schedules of all the travelers. There is only one transfer from the airport in Bali to the hotel. If you arrive at the same time or before the majority of the people in the group, you can wait at the airport and we will all take the airport transfer together. If you arrive later in Bali, you’ll have to go on your own to the hotel. All the information will be given when we contact you to let you know that you can book your international flight.

I do not have a flight for the day when the tour starts. Can I go earlier?

Of course, but you will be on your own until we meet in the hotel.

Is there an age requirement?

You must be 18 years old or older. If you are 16 or 17, you can come but must be accompanied by a parent. The price is the same as an adult.

Do I need to take any specific equipment?

No, no special equipment is necessary, just bring comfortable clothes and shoes, beach shorts, bikinis and flip-flops.

Will I have any time for myself?

Of course! We hate tours that book every minute of your day. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time to go exploring on your own!

Why are some lunches not included?

We like to give you some time to be alone and seize every second of the day your own way. With that in mind, most lunches are free, so you can go wherever you want.

What about visas?

All travelers need a passport with a validity of at least 6 months and a visa. The visa is made when you arrive at the airport. It costs 35USD (needs to be paid in US dollars) and they make the visa right away. It’s simple and fast.

Health and Vaccines?

We recommend travelers to consult with a clinic of Travel Medicine or talk to your doctor 4-8 weeks before departure.

Regarding Malaria, the areas we visit are not of concern. The risk is considered low except in some areas such as the central forest of Bali and remote areas of Flores. However, you should consult with your doctor. Show him the Itinerary and follow his recommendations.

Dangers?

Indonesia is not a dangerous country. In spite of the 2016 attacks in Jakarta (a city we will not visit) it is a very quiet country with very nice people (in our opinion the most charming in the world). In addition, we will spend much of the tour in remote areas where it’ll mostly be just us. Regardless, please take care as there are pickpockets everywhere, be it in Portugal or Indonesia.

How many spots can I book at once for the tour?

As many as you want. The maximum number of travelers is 24.

Can I save spots?

No, spots are only effectively reserved after payment.
