DAY 1 | MADEIRA – SANTANA

Welcome to Madeira! After all the group gathered, we will take a transfer to our hotel. After settling in, you’ll have time to meet the other travelers in the group, take a dip in the pool or explore the surrounding area. To liven up, let’s learn how to make poncha, the most famous drink in Madeira. We went to our first dinner. Rest of the night free to socialize and rest because tomorrow the adventure begins.

DAY 1 |PICO DO AREEIRO E PICO RUIVO

After breakfast, we continue to the interior of the Laurissilva forest, Madeira’s treasure. We will take a walk between Pico Arieiro and Pico Ruivo with a stop at Ninho da Manta. This walk lasts approximately 4 hours. After a picnic in nature, we continue the hike to Pico Ruivo. In the late afternoon we return to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy the pool.

DAY 3 | PONTA DE SÃO LOURENÇO

We start the day with a walk to Ponta de São Lourenço, which lasts approximately 2.30h. Lunch will be a picnic so we can continue to enjoy the day. Don’t forget to bring a bikini and bathing shorts as we’re going to take a nice dip in the sardine pier. We return by boat, on a short trip along the coast. Back on the bus, we return to the hotel, dinner free, and rest for what awaits us tomorrow.

DAY 4 | TREKKING CALDEIRÃO VERDE

Have a good breakfast, as we will need a lot of energy to spend the day exploring the magnificent Caldeirão Verde. We start the trekking in Parque Florestal das Queimadas, where we immediately come across the typical houses of Santana with thatched roof. We still cross 4 tunnels before seeing the Caldeirão. The total walk will take approximately 6 hours, always surrounded by nature with some very exotic vegetation. Don’t worry, we stopped for lunch, had a delicious picnic and recharged our batteries for the walk back. At the end of the afternoon we return to the hotel, dinner and free night.

DAY 5 | DIA DE JEEP – PISCINAS DE PORTO MONIZ E FANAL

Today our adventure will be by jeep! We start by visiting Camara de Lobos, take the opportunity to have a coffee next to the fishermen. We continue up the mountain to the Fanal region, one of the most magical places on the island and where, weather permitting, we stop for a picnic. Known as the grove of Tis, here you will find the oldest trees on the island. We continue for a brief stop at the Porto Moniz pools. After a few dives, we’ll make a short stop to see the Véu da Noiva waterfall. At the end of the afternoon we head to the new hotel, we know you will really like the place. Check in, Dinner and free night.

DAY 6 | LEVADA 25 FONTES

Ready for another walk? Today will be Levada Day and lasts about 4.30h. We will have the entire Levada das 25 Fontes, we will only stop for a well deserved dip in the very fresh water at the end. It is a day full of waterfalls, streams and vegetation. We have a picnic in the middle of the walk. We return by transfer to the hotel, dinner and free night. Tomorrow will also be a full day.

DAY 7 | CANYONING E PASSEIO DE VELEIRO.

After breakfast, those who signed up for the extra activity will be transferred to the Ecological Park. Those who do not do the activity have a transfer at 10:00 am to the center of Funchal, an opportunity to explore this beautiful city. Whoever is going to do Canyoning leaves very early. We will have local guides and don’t worry about registering, they will take care of taking pictures of us in action… Around 14:00H all travelers should meet at Mariana do Funchal. During the afternoon you can rest and enjoy the scenery aboard a sailboat with a stop for diving, we want to end this trip with an incredible tour over the rugged coast of our island of Madeira. Back to the hotel. It’s time to put on a nice outfit for the group’s last dinner, which will be at the hotel.

Extra Activity for this day (not included, prices and conditions at the end):

Initiation canyoning is intended for those who want to have their first contact with the activity. It is an easy and accessible route for all ages and takes 3 hours. Along the route, in addition to the natural obstacles, we have four abseiling (rope descent into the waterfall), the longest abseiling with 15 meters, alternating with jumps to small natural ponds and tobogans. In order to guarantee as much safety as possible to the participants, this activity is carried out by a certified company, with two guides certified in Canyoning by the I.P.D.J. (Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth). Note: The activities are subject to weather and logistics conditions.

DAY 8 | MADEIRA – Destino final.

After breakfast, make the most of the last few hours to rest or explore Funchal. At the appointed time, we take a private transfer to the airport to catch the plane and return to our destination. Are we or are we not an incredibly beautiful country?

In order to make the trip more accessible to everyone, certain activities are not included in the tour price. In any case, they are pre-organised, anyone who wants to do any of these activities can book them at the time they buy the trip. So on free days, everyone does what they want, stay on the beach, in the hotel pool, go for a walk through the city’s markets, visit temples or do these activities. You can also book these activities on site, but they are dependent on available places and prices at the time.

Extra activities must be booked and paid for up to 2 months before the tour. Reservations will not be accepted or canceled after that date. The travel leader may not accompany the extra activities, but they will always have the person responsible for the activity who will pick you up at the hotel and bring you back.

The Canyoning activity is pre-organized for those who don’t like to miss anything.

The value of the activity is €50 per person (value subject to change taking into account the number of people registered).

How can I book?
You can book by selecting the desired date below, then you will have to fill in your details. An ATM entity/reference will be generated later, with a deadline of 48 hours. You will have to go to the ATM and make the payment in the services area. We will receive confirmation that your payment has been made and we will send you all the information and documents you will need to fill in for the booking to be completed.

Is this trip for me?
This adventure is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of age. The program has a lot of nature walks, nothing too complicated, but make sure you are prepared to put in some effort. We are sure that if you come with a relaxed spirit you will have an unforgettable week. It is important that you understand that this is an adventure trip and therefore there are always unforeseen events… Situations such as: encounters with animals that you don’t have at home can happen; the internet is weak or not working; the air conditioning is broken; the shower water does not come out with as much pressure and hot as your shower; the food isn’t as good as your mother’s, etc… but I’m glad everything is different, if it were the same it wouldn’t be worth leaving the house. Also, unfortunately, we do not promise good weather, sometimes it rains, there is snow, the sea is rough, the sky is cloudy, it is important to be aware that there may be changes in the itinerary, but what would a trip be without adventure?! If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you let them know about this information. All we don’t want is a grumpy traveler who has been “dragged along” by friends, this can spoil the fun and relaxed atmosphere of the group. This is a journey in which we travel many hours by bus and we need to be aware of that.

What kind of rooms will we stay in?
We will stay in 4**** hotels. If you are traveling alone, you will be sharing a room with another traveler of the same sex. If you are traveling as a couple or with a friend, you will have your own private room. Sometimes it may be necessary for people who register alone to have to stay in a triple room.

What are lunch boxes?
They are light meals that we will have during the walks. They usually consist of a sandwich or wrap, quiche, fruit, cake and juice. The water must be brought in a canteen from the hotel.

What if I want a single room?
It is rarely possible to add one more single room. If you are interested, please contact us. We will ask hotels about the availability and price of the single supplement that you will have to pay, which is usually quite high.

When should I buy the flight?
You should only buy your flight after paying for the tour, confirming with LEVA-ME that your reservation is complete and only after LEVA-ME notifying you that the tour is confirmed can you buy the flight. (we advise registered travelers that they can already purchase the flight after the minimum number of registered travelers has been reached, which depends on each tour).

Can I register alone?
Of course, most of our travelers travel alone. It’s a trip to meet new people and make friends.

Who will I share my trip with?
First of all, you will be with the LEVA-ME tour leader throughout the trip. Then you’ll spend a week with other travelers, who like you have a common taste for travel, adventure, discovery… and who seek new emotions and unforgettable moments with this trip. The age range of our travelers is wide and goes from 20 to 70 years old. I assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you will end the trip with a new group of friends.

Does the group of travelers travel all together?
No, as there are travelers departing from various parts of the world, the group’s meeting point is at the airport to take the transfer or the hotel for those arriving at another time.

How do we all get together, as some go on other flights?
We will keep the details and flight times of all participants. Don’t worry we didn’t lose you.

I don’t have a flight on the day the tour starts, can I go earlier?
Of course you can but you will be on your own until we meet at the hotel. If you want, you can also stay for more days, obviously also at your own expense, both the hotel, food and transfer.

Is there an age requirement?
Be over 18 years old. Over 16s are welcome when accompanied by parents. The price is the same as an adult.

Do I need to bring some material?
The weather in Madeira is usually pleasant, but given the different altitudes and ecosystems it can be fickle, take summer clothes but also trousers, a raincoat and a sweater.

Will I have time just for myself?
Sure! We hate trips that have every minute scheduled. Our trip will be busy and full of adventures, but there will also be plenty of time to explore on your own!

Why are some meals not included?
That’s why, because we like to give you some time to be alone and enjoy every second in your own way. So part of the meals are free so you can go wherever you want.

Health and Vaccines?
There are no mandatory vaccines.

Dangers?
In wood, the most dangerous thing you’ll find is the poncha… Anyway, take the usual precautions, there are pickpockets everywhere in the world.

What is the number of travelers?
This trip will have a maximum of 22 travelers + the trip leader.

How many tour seats can I buy at once?
All seats can be reserved.

Can you save seats?
