Welcome to Namibia! If you’ve taken the recommended flight, you’ll have a private transfer from the airport to our hotel in Windhoek. Take the day to rest and meet the rest of the group by the hotel pool.
Distance: Airport to Windhoek (40 km, approx. 45 minutes)
Accommodation: 4-Star Hotel
After breakfast, enjoy a brief morning tour of Windhoek before heading to Sossusvlei. We’ll descend from the highlands into the Namib Desert. Check-in at the lodge and enjoy free time to relax by the pool. Dinner will be served at the lodge.
Distance: Windhoek to Sesriem (380 km, approx. 6 hours)
Accommodation: Lodge
We start early today. After breakfast, we’ll depart before sunrise to visit Deadvlei and Sossusvlei, with the last 5 km covered by a 4×4 transfer.
Sossusvlei, once part of the restricted diamond zone, opened to the public in 1977. It’s now one of Namibia’s most visited sites, covering over 32,000 square meters in the western part of the country. This ancient desert, among the world’s oldest, is home to some of the tallest dunes, reaching up to 300 meters. The colors of these dunes change throughout the day, offering a spectacular visual treat.
In the heart of this area lie the dry lakes of Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, famous for their iconic dead trees. Depending on the season, you might see water in the plains and, with luck, spot ostriches and oryx throughout the year.
Afterward, we’ll visit the Sesriem Canyon, carved by the Tsauchab River. This canyon, reaching depths of up to 30 meters, offers an interesting walk through rock formations and ancient sand deposits.
In the evening, enjoy some free time at the lodge. Dinner is included.
Optional Extra Activity: Safari Dinner in the Savannah – After sunset, take a short trip into the hotel’s private reserve for a full buffet dinner under Namibia’s starry sky.
Price: €57 per person
Distance: Sesriem to Sossusvlei and back (approx. 200 km round trip)
Accommodation: Lodge
After breakfast, we head to the Atlantic coast, passing through the Kuiseb River Canyon. This river plays a crucial role in halting the northern progression of the dunes.
We’ll arrive in the afternoon at Swakopmund, a small coastal town founded in 1892. Once the main German port in Southwest Africa, Swakopmund is often described as being more German than Germany itself. Now a seaside resort, it is the capital of the “Skeleton Coast” tourism region. Explore the unique blend of German and Namibian influences, colonial-era buildings, and refreshing sea breezes. Dinner is included.
Distance: Sesriem to Swakopmund (350 km, approx. 7 hours)
Accommodation: 4-Star Hotel
A free day to relax at the beach or explore the town. You can also join our pre-organized extra activity:
Optional Extra Activity: 4×4 Jeep Tour at Sandwich Harbour – Discover where the desert meets the sea with an afternoon 4×4 adventure. Explore the dramatic dunes and experience the thrill of this unique location. Return to the hotel in the evening. Price: €130 per person.
Distance: Swakopmund to Walvis Bay and back (70 km round trip)
Accommodation: 4-Star Hotel
After breakfast, we travel towards our next lodge, passing by the Spitzkoppe massif.
We’ll visit Spitzkoppe, an impressive granite massif in the desert plains, often called the “Matterhorn of Namibia.”
After our visit, we’ll continue to the lodge. In the evening, join a guided sunset walk around the lodge. Dinner is included.
Distance: Swakopmund to Spitzkoppe (200 km, approx. 3.5 hours)
Accommodation: Lodge
After breakfast, we head to Outjo and continue to Etosha National Park. We’ll check in at a lodge outside the park. Depending on arrival time, you’ll go on your first safari in Etosha National Park with our group.
Etosha, meaning “Great White Place,” is Namibia’s largest park and one of its top attractions. Home to a vast array of wildlife, including 114 mammal species, 340 bird species, and 110 reptile species, the park offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the world.
Distance: Spitzkoppe to Etosha (300 km, approx. 4.5 hours)
Accommodation: Lodge
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a full-day safari in the park using an open vehicle from the lodge, guided by your tour guide. Dinner is included.
Distance: Etosha Park (approx. 200 km)
Accommodation: Lodge
After breakfast, we head to Otjiwarongo. Check-in at the lodge upon arrival. In the afternoon, enjoy a 4×4 safari in the lodge’s private reserve. Dinner is included.
Distance: Etosha Park to Otjiwarongo (approx. 220 km, 4 hours)
Accommodation: Lodge
After breakfast, we head back to Windhoek. Depending on arrival time, enjoy some free time in the city center. Transfer to Windhoek International Airport for your return flight.
We hope you enjoyed this adventure, and we wish you a safe journey home! Until next time!

Is This Trip Right for Me?
This trip is perfect for those who love to have fun and make new friends, regardless of age. If you come with a relaxed spirit, you’re sure to have an unforgettable week. However, it’s important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and unexpected situations can arise. While we aim to stay in quality hotels, you might encounter some challenges, such as encountering unfamiliar animals, weak or non-functioning internet, broken air conditioning, low water pressure or cold showers, and meals that might not be as good as home-cooked ones. But that’s part of the charm—if everything were the same, there’d be no point in leaving home.
We also can’t guarantee perfect weather. Sometimes it rains, the sea can be rough, and itinerary changes might be necessary. But what would an adventure be without a little unpredictability?
If you invite a friend to join the tour, it’s essential to share this information with them. We want to avoid having any grumpy travelers who were “dragged” along, as it can spoil the group’s fun and relaxed atmosphere.
Namibia is a very remote country, and this trip involves long hours on the road, many of them on dirt tracks. If that’s something that bothers you, it might be better to choose a different trip.
What Kind of Transportation Will We Use?
We will travel mainly in a 4×2 bus, with some segments in a 4×4 jeep.
What Type of Rooms Will We Stay In?
We’ll stay in double or twin rooms. If you’re traveling solo, you’ll share a room with another traveler of the same gender (in some cases, you may need to stay in a triple room or share a double bed). If you’re traveling as a couple or with a friend, you’ll have your own private room.
Can I Get a Single Room?
It’s rarely possible to add a single room. If you’re interested, please contact us. We’ll check availability and the price for a single supplement, which is usually quite high.
When Should I Book My Flights?
Book your flights only after you’ve paid for the tour and confirmed your reservation with LEVA-ME. We will notify registered travelers by email when it’s time to book flights, once the minimum number of participants for the tour is reached.
There are no direct flights to Namibia, so you’ll likely have a layover in either Luanda or Germany.
Who Will I Share My Trip With?
You’ll be traveling with a LEVA-ME tour leader and spending a week with other travelers who share your passion for travel, adventure, and discovery. The age range of our travelers is broad, from 20 to 70 years old. We guarantee a fun atmosphere, and you’re likely to finish the trip with a new group of friends.
Does the Group Travel Together?
No, since travelers come from different parts of the world, the meeting point is either at the destination airport or hotel.
How Do We All Meet Up If We’re on Different Flights?
We’ll collect flight details and schedules from all participants and will meet upon arrival at the destination.
What If My Flight Arrives Before the Tour Starts? Can I Arrive Early or Stay Longer?
Yes, of course! However, you’ll be on your own until we meet at the hotel.
Do I Need to Bring Any Special Gear?
We recommend bringing a flashlight.
Will I Have Free Time?
Absolutely! We don’t like tours that schedule every minute. While our itinerary is full, there will be plenty of time for you to explore on your own. We encourage it!
Why Aren’t All Meals Included?
We want to give you some time to enjoy on your own and make the most of each moment. That’s why some meals are not included, allowing you to choose where to eat. On average, you should budget around €150 for meals that aren’t included.
How Many Tour Spots Can I Reserve at Once?
You can reserve all available spots. The maximum group size is 26 travelers.
